Meet Diane!

Hiya—I’m Diane Pajak, owner of Travel Conception, a wife, a mom, and yes… we have a very spoiled Greyhound who runs the house.

My journey into travel started back in 1996 after my first trip abroad to the UK. Like so many people, that experience changed something in me. I came home, took a travel course at a local college, and was instantly hooked. What began as a way to work from home while raising my family turned into a career that’s now spanned over 25 years.

Over the years, I’ve explored many corners of the travel industry, but I always come back to what I love most—working directly with clients and helping them experience the world in a meaningful way.

A Love for Travel (and the Stories That Come With It)

Travel, for me, has never just been about the destination—it’s about the moments and connections along the way.

One of the most meaningful trips I’ve ever taken was to Sicily, where my husband and I met long-lost family and explored the island from Palermo to Messina, including the village my grandparents once called home. That journey will always stay with me.

Another unforgettable adventure took me to Southern Africa on safari through Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. At one point, a herd of elephants came running toward our jeep—only to turn at the last second—and I was lucky enough to capture a photo of a leopard in the wild. Experiences like that don’t just stay with you… they become part of you.

More recently, my travels through Italy—from Florence to Rome and into the south—have only deepened my connection to a place that already felt like home.

A Few Things I’ve Learned Along the Way

Over time, I’ve found that travel means something different to everyone. For some, it’s about seeing the world. For others, it’s about reconnecting—with family, with culture, or even with themselves.  That’s part of what has kept me in this business for so long. Every trip has a story behind it.

A Little More About Me

I’ve had the opportunity to specialize in destinations like the United Kingdom—especially Scotland—and have spent a great deal of time there over the years, attending travel events and exploring on my own.  These days, I split my time between the U.S. and the UK, continuing to do what I’ve always done—staying connected to the places and experiences that inspire me.

What’s Still on My List

There’s always something new on the horizon.  I’d love to see the Northern Lights—though I’ll admit, the cold might be a challenge—and the Galápagos Islands are high on my list. As a bit of a “bird nerd,” that part of the world has always fascinated me.
